The next two galleries feature art from Pacific island cultures.
The first two items are the Hawaiian volcano goddess Pele.
The link between Goddess and the earth and its phenomena is common,
dating back to earliest recorded humanity.
This stems from the idea that we find nourishment and sustenance in Mother Earth
just as children find it in their mother.
The next item is an Indonesian wood carving promoting male fertility, similar to
images in early Greece. The next series are the modern work of Indonesian artist I. Made Djata.
The last item, also from Indonesia, is a door guardian similar to the
